About the Author

Michael Guesev is a specialist at the intersection of economics, data, and strategic decision-making. Originally from the small town of Scarborough, Maine, on the Northeastern Coast of the USA, he currently leads strategic finance, financial modeling, and investment analysis for NEOM’s regional food portfolio in Saudi Arabia, where he develops advanced valuation frameworks, risk simulations, and capital allocation strategies for long-term investments. Before joining NEOM, Michael worked at BlackRock in the Aladdin Financial Engineering team and at Goldman Sachs in Global Banking & Markets, contributing to analytics design and large-scale trading initiatives across global portfolios. His career bridges quantitative finance, analytics consulting, and strategic transformation. He holds a Master’s in Quantitative Management from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Michael is a recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship as well as the National Security Education Program Boren Scholarship.
